Mezoterapi İstanbul

What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is based on the principle of microinjection of substances (vitamins, minerals, enzymes, etc.) selected according to the specific conditions and complaints of people. It is an aesthetic and therapeutic method used all over the world. It is also used to treat many diseases by stimulating the skin layers.

Why is Mesotherapy used?

As the main purpose of mesotherapy is to treat the problem area, it can be used in many cases. Although generally used on the face, there are other common areas as well and they are listed as below:

– Acute (sudden) or chronic (ongoing) types of pain,

– Lachrymal sacs and bags under the eyes caused by genetic or environmental factors

– Hair and scalp problems (baldness, hair loss, hair treatments, etc.)

– Skin blemishes due to age or certain treatments, especially sun spots

-It is possible to safely benefit from the mesotherapy technique for sagging and ageing skin caused by age and environmental factors.

Who can have Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy can be performed on anyone who needs it, except for people who have a condition that prevents this procedure from being performed. The people for whom the procedure cannot be performed are: women during pregnancy and breastfeeding, people with cancer, heart disease, kidney disease, people who use drugs that prevent blood clotting, people who have had a stroke in the past, diabetes patients (diabetics).

How is Mesotherapy performed?

Mesotherapy is an aesthetic procedure based on the microinjection method. Before the procedure, the patient is examined and the disease is diagnosed. The person is taken to the treatment room and an anaesthetic cream is applied to the treatment area. Special and disposable needles for each patient and the solutions required by the patient are applied to the area and the procedure is carried out. The solution to be used is injected into the treated area at an angle through the injection tools used by the doctor.

Depending on the procedure to be performed, sometimes a mesotherapy substance alone is sufficient, while sometimes it may be appropriate to mix these substances and perform a mixed microinjection. After the procedure, the person can return to their normal life without the need for a bandage.

What types of Mesotherapy are there?

Mesotherapy literally means ‘middle treatment’. This is because vitamins, minerals, etc. are injected into the middle layer of the skin using needles. The areas where mesotherapy is applied vary according to the person’s wishes, particular condition and complaints. This distinguishes the mesotherapy procedure in terms of its types and some of the types of mesotherapy are listed below;

Facial Mesotherapy

This is a method that can be applied to all parts of the face, especially the décolleté, neck and hands. It gives vitality and radiance to the face and firms the skin by preventing sagging caused by environmental or genetic factors.  As various creams applied to the face cannot penetrate the skin barrier, their action is limited. However, thanks to the substances injected under the skin in facial mesotherapy, the effect is immediate and long-lasting. While a single session is sufficient for some products, 3-4 sessions are required for others.

Spot Mesotherapy

It is possible to benefit from spot mesotherapy for congenital skin spots that develop due to environmental or genetic factors, aging or exposure to sunlight. In this method, the substances that the skin needs are prepared according to specific qualities and delivered to the skin layers, and the skin repair process begins. These are the substances that the skin needs but has difficulty producing. When these substances are administered at the appropriate level under the skin, it is possible to remove the spots. Spot mesotherapy usually takes 3-4 sessions and the interval between sessions is set at 1-2 weeks.

Under-eye Mesotherapy

Under-eye mesotherapy can be successfully used to treat bruising, oedema, wrinkles and bags under the eyes, around the eyes and in the eyelid area due to factors such as stress and circulatory disorders, genetic factors, sleep problems, the use of certain medications and ageing. In general, this treatment takes 4 sessions and the average interval between sessions is 1 or 2 weeks.  There is a noticeable difference from the first session and this effect lasts for about 1 year. Although it is generally a comfortable procedure, some bruising and swelling after the treatment is considered normal.

Hair Mesotherapy

Stress, hormonal, seasonal, genetic and metabolic factors cause problems such as hair loss, thinning, weakening and this situation is seen in everyone, men and women. Hair mesotherapy, applied at this point, nourishes the hair follicles by injecting substances such as vitamins, minerals, proteins and enzymes into the scalp (under the skin). In this way, while hair loss is reduced, the scalp is strengthened with the substances it needs to support the growth of new hair. Hair mesotherapy can be applied regionally or to the whole hair. It takes an average of 3-4 sessions.

Needle-free Mesotherapy

Without the use of needles to treat skin problems, needle-free mesotherapy is based on the principle of stimulating collagen and elastin structures painlessly, and delivering the substance needed by the skin to the superficial layers of the skin using the pressure method. As there is no risk involved, there is no age limit for the procedure. It takes 3-4 sessions on average.

What are the benefits of Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is both a medical and an aesthetic treatment. It is therefore a method with many advantages and these can be listed as below:

– It provides fast results.

– It is a complementary treatment for the overall health of the body and regulates circulation.

– It does not require anaesthesia.

– People can go about their daily lives after the treatment.

What to consider after Mesotherapy?

Although mesotherapy is a simple procedure, there are some situations that the person should be aware of after the procedure. These are as below:

– Blood thinners and drinks such as aspirin should be avoided before and after mesotherapy.

– Water should not come into contact with the treatment area for 8 – 12 hours.
